The Main Question is the main subject that your entire organization wants to improve. On the platform, it consists of a closed question, regularly asked to all employees, which can be monitored from the dashboard.
In this article:
Why set a Main Question
Tracking a metric is learning how to position oneself toward a goal. By tracking the right metrics, you can rely on accurate data to make the best decisions for your business.
More concretely on the platform, once your Main Question is defined, you have access to:
a comprehensive overview from your dashboard with:
- the latest score,
- the metric's evolution over time,
- the benchmark, internal or external, if available.
a clear view of your actions' impact from the Action space.
How to choose a Main Question
To choose your Main Question, start with your business strategy, keeping in mind your context, and ask yourself the following questions:
What are my company's goals?
What is the main issue we want to improve as a company?
If your organization has a particular transitory context: What is the most important topic to monitor across the organization?
What issue can we commit to taking action on?
In many cases, we recommend using the eNPS as a Main Question: eNPS has been proven to be a good way to quantify employee engagement, which in turn is directly linked to business performance.
Sometimes it is more relevant to choose another question.
For example, during the COVID crisis and because the consequences of the epidemic had a big impact on their staff's working conditions, some organizations chose to prioritize measuring the level of morale of their teams, or their adjustment to telecommuting. Others, in the midst of change management, prefer to measure employee alignment with the company's strategy.

Setting up a Main Question
From your Dashboard, click on "+ Choose my account question" and select the campaign containing your question, then your question.
ℹ️ Be sure to select a question that will be asked regularly, and within a campaign aimed at all employees. Otherwise, your results will be less relevant and actionable.
Once your metric is selected and saved, if you have already asked this question, the already collected data will be displayed directly.
To change questions, simply click on the button "Pick another question" at the top right.
