What is happening?
We are changing the domain name for the Supermood platform from https://supermood.co to https://app.supermood.com. Emails will also be sent from [email protected] instead of [email protected]
Why are we doing it?
It makes more sense and is more intuitive for all of our clients and their employees to be on a .com platform instead of a .co It will improve the default deliverability of our emails.
Emails from domains ending in .co can sometimes be penalized compared to .com, especially in Europe.
Your IT teams spend time training your employees on phishing attempts, and will often tell them to be very careful about the websites they browse: your employees will feel safer on a .com than on a .co, and it will be one less exception for your IT teams to manage.
When?
We’re giving you time to do this migration, and you can do it at your own pace - via a setting available to account admins. Until September 31, 2024, both domains will work simultaneously to allow for a gradual migration. However, all accounts that have not migrated by September 31, 2024 will be automatically migrated from that date.
Migration guide
Here are the steps to follow to help you migrate smoothly to https://app.supermood.com
1. Make app.supermood.com work
1.1. Implement SSO authentication (if enabled)
If you don’t have SSO on your account, you can skip this step.
You need to replicate your SSO configuration on your Identity Provider so that it accepts logins with the Service Provider: https://app.supermood.com. The SSO metadata (to give to your IT team) is available here: https://app.supermood.com/auth/sso/saml20/metadata.xml
1.2. Accept emails from supermood.com
If you have whitelisted the address [email protected] or ‘@bnc3.supermood.co’ - you will need to replicate this configuration for supermood.com. You can ask your IT team to replicate the Supermood whitelisting configuration by simply replacing supermood.co with supermood.com. The emails will originate from [email protected] or ‘@bnc3.supermood.com’ - the IP address remains the same.
1.3. Make sure your employees can browse app.supermood.com
If your security systems block certain websites, and you have previously had to declare https://supermood.co as a website to whitelist for browsing, you will need to replicate this configuration for https://app.supermood.com.
You will find an example of a request to make to your IT team for step 1 in appendix 1.
2. Do a test
If you have completed step 1, you can now plan a test during a period when you don’t have any other surveys scheduled (a few hours is enough).
Create a test campaign, for example “supermood.com migration test”
In the recipients tab, select 1 to 10 employees - your testers
Create a test survey in that campaign
Schedule a one-off send for the next hour
Go to your account “settings” tab and enable the migration to app.supermood.com before the send
Check that you receive the survey from [email protected], that the answering link takes you to https://app.supermood.com - and that you can answer normally.
Go back to the “settings” page and disable the migration to app.supermood.com
You will find some additional tips in appendix 2.
If the test went well, you can move on to the next step. If not, we invite you to contact our support for technical assistance.
3. Deploy the migration to app.supermood.com
Communicate and activate the migration
If the test went well, you can, whenever you want, activate the migration to app.supermood.com from your account settings.
We recommend that you communicate to all your employees in advance, so that they are not surprised if they are redirected to app.supermood.com when they try to connect from supermood.co. This is why we recommend reverting to the initial configuration at the end of the test - to make sure that employees are informed once the test is validated.
Once your employees have been notified, you can activate the migration to app.supermood.com from your settings.
How the platform will behave after the migration
For survey emails or SMS previously sent with supermood.co links, they will continue to work on supermood.co. All new links sent will contain a URL starting with https://app.supermood.com - and will be sent from [email protected].
For the login page: once the migration to app.supermood.com is activated, when selecting an account, the employee will be redirected to the correct login page (https://supermood.co/app/#/loginv2 or https://app.supermood.com/app/#/loginv2) depending on your account setting.
Remember to update your bookmarks! If you have presentations that you give to new employees, remember to update any URLs that may be in them, such as the login URL 🙂 The old login URL will still work and redirect to the new one, but it might be surprising for employees who browse to supermood.co to be redirected to app.supermood.com - so it’s better to update everything.
Supermood documentation (help center articles) will be updated as of September 31, 2024.
4. Delete old supermood.co configurations
Once everything is working correctly, you can contact your IT team again so that they can delete the old supermood.co configurations - web browsing, emails, and SSO.
Appendix 1: example of communication to your IT team
Here is an example of an email to your IT team to make sure of step 1. If your IT team works with tickets, we invite you to create the corresponding tickets.
Hi [Mr XXX],
Supermood is moving its platform from https://supermood.co to https://app.supermood.com and emails will be sent from [email protected] (with a Return-path in *@bnc3.supermood.com).
Could you please:
Once these updates are done, we will schedule tests to make sure that everything is working well. When the migration is complete, we will notify you to delete the old configurations (supermood.co).
If you need any additional information, you can send an email to [email protected]
Thank you in advance,

Appendix 2: Tips for the test
Tip 1: We have a guide on how to create test surveys here: https://help.supermood.com/en/articles/93459-step-2-setting-up-a-test-survey
Tip 2: To send a test campaign to only a few recipients, enter their email directly with an “OR” condition - below is an example to send a survey to two people.
